My piercing history

I had my first piercings done on my 8th birthday, my mom took me to get my lobes done with a gun which I don't remember alot about. I didn't get another until I was 14 I think, my first cartilidge piercing, it was around the time those piercings really became popular I guess. I had the top of my right ear pierced with a gun, I didn't know any different at the time although it's not aloud nowadays due to impact damage. This one took atleast a year to fully heal and was a pain in the ass to tell the truth, but I stuck with it and still have it in today.

Shortly after I got my second lobe piercings done, again with a gun, and then after that another cartilidge piercing just lower down than my previous one, with a gun again (yes I didn't learn). I knew about needle piercing at this time but the thought terrified me so I went for the gun option. Just before my 16th birthday, I had my navel pierced, overall this is probably one of my favourite piercings I've had done and the one I miss most (had to take it out due to pregnancy).

I remember the healing process for my naval took a good few months, but was no trouble once it had healed fully, I had this in for about 4 years. A while later I decided to get another cartilidge piercing, this was when I was 18. By this time the whole piercing with a needle thing wasn't so scary to me, so I had my right tragus done professionally. A month or 2 later, seeing just how much better needle piercing was, I wanted another. This time I went for a rook piercing in my left ear, which also healed with no problems.

The rest of my piercings I had done in Tamworth as I moved up here around that time. I had wanted a labret piercing for awhile and one day just decided to go for it. Worrying that it was going to hurt really bad, the painlessness of getting it pierced surprised me. I had it done in the middle just below my bottom lip and had that in for nearly a year before I got bored and irritated by it and took it out. At 21 I had my third lobe piercings done with needles, these caused abit more of a problem to heal as that part of my ear is quite thick and the piercing also caught abit of cartilidge, I had to take out the one in my left ear as it was being too problematic.

I then went on to get another lip piercing, this time to the right of my mouth just below my bottom lip. I really liked this one for along while but again got bored and decided to take it out after about 7 months. And my most recent piercing is my left conch, and deffinatly the most painful one I've had done, but it seems to have healed ok now. During the past year I have also had my first lobe piercings stretched to 4mm (6ga).

I get piercings for many reasons, at first, I'll admit, it was to keep with the trend, then after my navel piercing, I got them for individuality. I also got most of them done around the years I was badly depressed, to try and help subside the need to self-harm, which did work most of the time. Below are current pictures of my ear piercings:
