My tattoos
I remember at a fairly early age wanting to reach 18 so as I could get my first tattoo, at the time I guess I wanted one because I beleive tattooing is a beautiful form of self expression. Not quite knowing what to expect, after my first tattoo I found myself wanting more. For me, I love the whole package of what getting a tattoo entails, the pre-excitement after finding a design you want, the entire process of getting it done and then having it as a part of me forever afterwards. Pain doesn't even come into the equation with me, if anything I find it a good way of releasing built up stress and after about 15 minutes its quite relaxing. Will I ever regret any of my tattoos when I'm older? Highly doubtful, live for the moment, I may not be here to see what my tattoos look like by the age of 60.
Cherry blossom & heart (back of right wrist)
I got this one done on the 15th of February 2007 once again at Nala's but by the other female tattoo artist. This was a spur of the moment, I'd wanted to get it done a day before on my birthday but they were booked up. I basically wanted something small to go on the back of my wrist to do with a heart design as my birthday is Valentines day, I saw this little design with the cherry blossom and thought it was perfect. Cherry blossoms are beautiful, this tattoo for me is loving the day my birthday is on and also showing my love for Japan in my own way.
Pics coming soon.
Wings (upper middle back)
Done October 24th 2006 by Shannon once again at Nala's. I'd wanted wings for a long while but enver managed to find the right design for me, until I came across this one on deviantart. For pain, this area was deffinatly the worst along with the stomach area but still bareable (while biting lip). I love how they came out and may/may not be adding colour/shading at a later date. They took about an hour to complete and cost 95 pounds.
Iris flower with some tribal (upper left arm)
This was done in June 2006 and after much hunting for an Iris flower tattoo design that I liked, I came across this one and loved it. The main reason for the tattoo is after my favourite song, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, the Iris is also one of my birth month flowers. This tattoo probably hurt the least and took about 45-60 minutes, costing 65 pounds, also done by Shannon. I really love how it turned out and think the colours are gorgeous.
Butterflies with some tribal (lower right leg)
I had this done by Shannon again at Nala's a month or so after Chloe's butterfly. I wanted a tattoo on my lower leg or foot for summer and loved the design. The pain in this area was alot less than I was expecting and wasn't bad at all, took around 45 minutes to complete and cost around 60 pounds. I may get the butterflies touched up before next summer as the light blue didn't take too well.
Chloe banner with butterfly (left inner forearm)

I had this done a month or so after Chloe was born in 2006, new tattoo parlor and artist since I moved to Tamworth. I always knew I'd get a tattoo for my baby and found the design for the banner in their shop. I wanted to get a tattoo on my inner forearm for ages, mainly to cover up some self injury scaring. The banner was done by Shannon at Nala's tattoo studio, the butterfly was added a couple of weeks later by a different artist to cover up another self injury scar. The pain in this area is very managable for me as I guess I'm already used to pain there. The banner cost 40 pounds and the butterfly cost 30. I plan on adding to this area when I have more children.

Japanese "Love" symbol (right side of stomach)
I had this one done about a year after my pegasus in 2004, same woman again. I knew I wanted this one before I went in and found the design, I actually got it for someone who was very special to me in my life at the time, who also came with me when I had it done. For me, this one was the most painful place to get a tattoo and I'm glad the design wasn't any bigger than it is. Cost about the same as my other symbol and took about 15-20 minutes. After having Chloe the tattoo has stretched quite abit, not an area recommended to get tattooed if your planning on becoming pregnant...like ever.
Pictures coming soon.
Chinese "Dream" symbol (top middle of spine)
This one was done afew months after my pegasus at the same place, by the same woman. I knew I wanted a symbol of some sort and looking through the ones they had there I knew the Dream one was right for me. She shaded around the symbol in blue to match my pegasus, the pain for this one was around the same as my pegasus but obvously less as it only took about 20 minutes to do and cost about 30 pounds. This tattoo really means alot to me as I can be described as a dreamer with my head in the clouds, dare to dream, no?
Pegasus (lower middle of back)
My first tattoo, I think I got this around October 2003 when I was 18. Done at a tattoo parlor in Exmouth by a woman named Holly. I was browsing the designs in there and found a page full of pegasus and unicorns so I chose the one I liked best and thought would fit best in the place I wanted it to go. Pegasus is my favourite mythological creature and blue is my favourite colour, I love how she coloured it. The pain wasn't too bad at all, was only afew places I remember having to hold my breath because it hurt along the tail and wings I think. From this as my first tattoo I learnt that the outline was the most painful part, the colouring in was fairly relaxing. It took around an hour to complete and cost about 55 pounds. Still one of my favourite tattoos.
Pictures coming soon.
